Howdy,

The Google+ apps for Android and iOS has just been updated with a bunch of new sweet features added to the collection:
Photos – The app does now include filters, similar to many other social services (such as Instagram). Furthermore you are also able to view “before vs. after” to compare the original picture, with the edited one.
Posts – The stream of posts does now show text up front, instead of before, where the (optional) picture was presented first. When tapping an attachment, you are now lead to a new view with watch-page, lightbox, or website, depending on what you have been tapping. The pictures, +1-, and Repost-button does also look a whole lot more clean now.
Profiles – The “new” profiles now lets you share your current location, and have it shown next to your name in your profile, and / or as a map, instead of your current cover picture.
This feature is of course optional, and you can always choose if, and with whom you want to share this with.
Communities – The Google+ team has now added the ability to change, how often every community should appear in your Home stream. Now you are also able to invite people to your community directly from the app, and reshare content to a community as well. Last but not least you can now do a search among members, do some content moderation, and the Community Managers are now able to “report-remove-ban” directly through the app.
These new features are very welcome, and it is really nice to see, how the Google+ team manage to improve the service time after time. Personally, I really like the new improved UI, and the way that comments are now floating at the bottom of the posts, in the Home stream.
